Jack Kertscher

Jack is a technologist and educator with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Hamilton College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Jack’s work centers at the intersection of advanced robotics, digital fabrication, and community-driven learning, and he aims to foster an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment for innovators of all backgrounds and experience levels.

During his prior tenure as an NBRR Intern, Jack developed additive manufacturing workflows, computer vision routines, and novel AI applications. His broader technical background includes developing continuous integration pipelines for non-deterministic multi-robot control algorithms using ROS2 and Gazebo at Hamilton College, as well as improving combinatorial optimization algorithms at Sapienza University in Rome.

Jack previously worked as a Creative & Academic Technologies Intern at Hamilton College’s Makerspace, where he coordinated a team of tutors and spearheaded weekly digital learning workshops. In his free time, Jack loves reading science fiction, writing, playing board games, and rock climbing.
